Lady Approved: Family & Rescue
The heartwarming story behind our rescue German Shepherd, our 100% pet-safe painting standards, and our rescue mission.
Meet Lady & Vito: Our Rescued Shepherds & Heart of Our Company
When our family adopted Lady and Vito, gentle and soulful rescue German Shepherds, they transformed our lives with their loyalty, intelligence, and boundless affection. Like so many rescue dogs across California, they faced uncertainty before finding their forever home here on the beautiful Santa Barbara coast.
Watching Lady and Vito explore our home reminded us of an essential truth that many contractors overlook: a home is not just an architectural structure; it is where our beloved pets live, breathe, and play. Dogs and cats have sensitive olfactory systems and grooming habits that make them particularly vulnerable to toxic paint fumes, chemical solvents, and careless job-site hazards.

The "Lady Approved" Safety Standard
Because we love our pets as family, we established the Lady Approved Guarantee on every single residential and estate painting project we undertake:
- Zero-VOC & Ultra-Low-VOC Formulations: We exclusively recommend odorless, non-toxic coatings (such as Benjamin Moore Eco Spec and Dunn-Edwards Everest) that release zero hazardous volatile organic compounds into your living spaces.
- Strict Gate & Perimeter Control: Contractors leaving gates unlatched is a homeowner’s worst nightmare. Our team uses explicit signage, spring-loaded gate checks, and strict entry protocols so pets never accidentally escape.
- Safe Material Storage: Paint cans, primers, masking knives, and rags are never left unattended on the floor. Everything is stored in sealed bins elevated from curious noses and paws.
- HEPA Dustless Sanding: We capture 99.97% of dust at the tool source to prevent particulate from settling on pet beds, rugs, or fur.
Pet-Friendly Living in Every Color
Whether you are selecting from an inviting rainbow of colors for family living spaces, designing a pet station with durable scuff-resistant enamel, or accentuating your entryways with refined purple painting details or Mediterranean terracotta, you can enjoy true paradise finishes knowing your pets remain healthy, comfortable, and safe throughout.
